Hello! I’m a former college athlete who had a warped perspective of what foods are best to fuel my body and how to work out, thanks to marathon practice sessions on the basketball court followed by 8-burrito binges at Chipotle. As a child of the low-fat/non-fat craze of the late 80’s/early 90’s, I struggled with figuring out how best to fuel my body. I yo-yo’d back and forth between diets, bounced from personal trainer to personal trainer, and quit more workout plans than I can count.
Last year, I started Beachbody. I tried out the 21 Day Fix program with Super Trainer Autumn Calabrese….and was pleasantly surprised when the program WORKED. But I struggled with consistency. Which is why when Beachbody announced its brand new 80 Day Obsession program, beginning in January 2018, I knew I had to be all in if I wanted to see serious changes in my body and lifestyle.
Fast forward 80 days and I am officially OBSESSED. Not only with the program, but with continuing the lifestyle inspired by 80 Day Obsession. I feel amazing, I’m at my lowest weight since I don’t know when, and I feel like I am finally living my best self.
But throughout those 80 days, I had a lot of questions, and I could never seem to find the answers: Am I eating enough? When should I bump up meal plans? What workout gear helps with the Booty workout?
I knew that when I started round 2 of 80 Day Obsession, I wouldn’t be the only one with these questions. And even though I am NOT a nutritionist or a personal trainer I thought this blog might nevertheless help to answer some of those questions others might have when starting their own journey.
So, here we are. This blog is dedicated to 80 Day Obsession and teasing out the details, all to help you get even more obsessed with making the program not just a part of your day, but a way of life.
